1. Who We Are
Tandem is a Chrome extension and web service operated by Williams Systems on behalf of The Tanguay Agency L.L.C. ("we," "us," or "our"). Tandem provides browser-based power dialing, voicemail detection, and AI-assisted coaching for insurance professionals.

2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign up for Tandem, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and agency information. This is used to create and manage your account.
Authentication Data
We store encrypted authentication tokens locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API to keep you logged in between sessions. We do not store your password in the extension — authentication is handled by our secure backend via Supabase.
Call Activity Data
We collect call statistics including the number of dials placed, calls answered, voicemails detected, and call duration. This data is used to display your performance dashboard and provide team-level analytics to your agency manager.
Lead Information
Tandem reads lead names, phone numbers, and appointment data displayed on your lead management portal page within your browser. This information is used solely to populate your dialing queue and is not stored permanently on our servers.
Call Transcription
When the AI Rebuttal Coach feature is active, live audio from your calls is streamed to Deepgram for real-time transcription. Transcripts are processed in real time to generate coaching suggestions and are stored temporarily for quality improvement. Audio is not permanently recorded or stored.
Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Tandem dialer service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your subscription
- Display your call statistics and performance metrics
- Populate your dialing queue with leads from your portal
- Provide real-time AI coaching and objection handling
- Provision and rotate phone numbers for outbound calling
- Provide team-level analytics to agency managers
- Improve our service and fix bugs
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the following service providers who are necessary to operate Tandem:
- Supabase — authentication and account data storage
- Plivo — telephony services for placing and receiving calls
- Deepgram — real-time speech-to-text transcription
- OpenAI — AI-powered rebuttal and coaching suggestions
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
- Render — server hosting
Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver their service and under their own privacy policies.
Your agency manager may have access to team-level call statistics (dials, answers, appointments) as part of the team dashboard feature.
5. Data Storage and Security
Account data is stored in Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens stored locally in Chrome use Chrome's built-in storage API. All communication between the extension, our server, and third-party services uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Call statistics are retained for reporting purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
6. Chrome Extension Permissions
Tandem requests the following browser permissions:
- storage — to save your login session and preferences locally
- activeTab — to detect when you are on your lead management portal
- scripting — to inject the dialer overlay interface onto your portal page
- Host permissions — to access your portal page and communicate with the Tandem server
The extension only activates on your lead management portal. It does not access, read, or monitor any other websites or tabs.
7. Remote Code
Tandem loads the Plivo Browser SDK from Plivo's official CDN to enable WebRTC-based voice calls in the browser. This is the only remote code loaded by the extension. All other extension logic is bundled within the extension package.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by uninstalling the extension and contacting us to delete your account

9. Children's Privacy
Tandem is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the extension or by email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
